Great question. There is an automated task that run but it won’t “archive” off the team till until 1 month after the season. You can archive off each team from the “matches & teams” page.
Just below each team you will notice a “gray box” which has a link named “Mark Season Completed” — click this and the team will moved off the ‘active’ teams list and go to the “completed seasons”.
